CANTON, GEORGIA, August 12, 2023 – On Saturday, the 10th annual Cherokee County Chick-fil-A Five K took place, gathering the Cherokee County community together to raise funds for the Cherokee County Educational Foundation (CCEF) and the Cherokee County Special Olympics (CCSO). 

The Cherokee County Educational Foundation is proud to announce that Impact Grants are back for the 2023-2024 school year! Applications are currently open for submissions, and CCEF will be accepting applications until the deadline, January 31st, 2024.

It's that time of year again! We are coming up on another annual 'Celebration of Education' Gala, taking place on March 9th, 2024! Every year, CCEF presents the Gala to benefit the teachers, students, and staff of CCSD. 

It's that time again when February has 29 days instead of 28 days. That's right, 2024 is a Leap year! As we approach the end of the month, let's look at the scientific explanation, the history behind it, and what teaching avenues it provides for the classroom. 

The Cherokee County Educational Foundation was delighted to award 23 teachers in the Cherokee County School District with Classroom Impact Grants, totaling over $33,000 for the 2023-2024 school year! 

Geiger Legal Group wants to reward TWO hard-working teachers from EACH Middle School and High School in Cherokee County with a "Classroom Necessities" rolling cart again this year. But we need your help!

Since its establishment in 2012, the Cherokee County Education Foundation has awarded nearly $1,000,000 in grants to CCSD students, teachers, and schools. In years past, applicants could apply for Rapid Grants in some parts of the school year, while applying for Impact Grants over the weeks of winter break. This year, CCEF is proud to announce a change to our grant application process that will allow for teachers, faculty and staff to apply for funds starting today, July 1st 2024!

The excitement is building as we approach the 11th Annual Cherokee County Chick-fil-A 5K on August 17th, 2024. With just a couple of weeks left, it's time to lace up your running shoes, rally your friends and family, and get ready to make a difference in our community.

On March 8th, 2025, the Cherokee County Educational Foundation hosted its annual Celebration of Education Gala, a night dedicated to the community and education in Cherokee County.

We're excited to announce the Cherokee County Educational Foundation's (CCEF) 3rd Annual Sporting Clays Classic, taking place on Friday, June 20th, 2025, at the Garland Mountain Sporting Clays and Grill in Waleska! 

At the Cherokee County Educational Foundation (CCEF), we are committed to empowering educators to create impactful learning experiences for their students. Thanks to the generous support of our community, schools across the county have been able to fund a variety of projects this year, from hands-on STEM labs to enhancing reading options for students.

Last year, the Cherokee County Educational Foundation introduced a brand new grant application process allowing Cherokee County School District teachers to apply for rapid and impact grants throughout multiple rounds of the year! CCEF is excited to be continuing this new application procedure, and that the first round of applications will be opening on July 1st, 2025.
