2021-2022 in Review
We hope your Summer has been full of relaxation, fun memories, and so much more. The school year has ended, graduation commenced, and with the summer break nearing its end, we wanted to take a look back on another great year with CCEF.
Throughout the school year our incredible Cherokee County students, teachers, faculty, and staff all worked together to put another great school in the books. Let's take a look back at this past school year as we anticipate another great year to come!
At Home With CCEF
Last August, we held another fantastic At Home with CCEF contest! This was our 2nd annual contest held at home and we enjoyed seeing so many great submissions from our teachers.
This is one of our most favorite ways to not only support our CCSD teachers and staff, but enjoy seeing everyone's children, dogs, horses, and more! We got great submissions this past year, and we are gearing up for another amazing year to see everyone in their CCEF t-shirt.
Chick-Fil-A Moo've It 5K
As one of the largest races in North Georgia, the Chick-fil-a Moo've It 5K has been an annual staple of the Cherokee County Educational Foundation. Last year we held our 8th annual race, and was held in-person for the first time since 2019!
Over the years, the Chick-fil-a Moo've It 5K has donated over $200,000 to CCEF and the Cherokee County Special Olympics. Each year, the Moo've It 5K helps fund things such as Impact Grants and Rapid Grants for our wonderful teachers and staff in Cherokee County. As one of the first big events of a new school year, the Chick-fil-a Moo've It 5K is a great way to help support CCEF right off the bat, and as an added benefit, the race is a pre-qualifier event for the Peachtree Road Race.
Our 9th annual Chick-fil-a Moo've It 5K is right around the corner, register today!
Education First Fund Realty Team Golf Tournament
Earlier this summer, CCEF took part in putting on the Education First Fund Realty Team Golf Tournament. We had so many awesome supporters come out to the tournament to help make a difference in the Cherokee County School District.
We are so thankful for all of our sponsors, players, and everyone who made this tournament a success, and we look forward to our next time on the green! We also are looking forward to hosting another fantastic CCEF Golf and Tennis classic later this year in October to further support our Classroom Impact Grants!
Celebration of Education Gala
Each year, the Cherokee County Educational Foundation partners directly with sponsors, donors, and volunteers to host the Celebration of Education Gala, and 2022's Gala was one to remember! This year's Gala was sponsored by Manley Spangler Smither Architects, catered by Acworth's 1885 Grille, and would not be complete without comedy and musical performances, along with our silent auction.
All of the proceeds went directly to funding projects for the Cherokee County School District, and is CCEF's biggest event of the year! We had so much fun and look forward to seeing everyone at next year's gala!
Looking Forward
We are so thankful to continue to hold these events in-person, and we are extremely excited to kick off another year of fantastic events that support our Cherokee County teachers and staff. Get ready for the 2022-2023 school year…it's going to be great!
