Lace Up for a Cause: Join Us at the Cherokee County Chick-fil-A 5K!
On Saturday, August 17th, 2024, join the Cherokee County community for an exciting morning at Etowah River Park in Canton, GA, for the 11th Annual Cherokee County Chick-fil-A 5K! Over the past eleven years, this event has contributed over $300,000 to the Cherokee County Educational Foundation and Cherokee County Special Olympics, proving that every step taken is a stride towards making a significant impact in our local community.

What You Need to Know Before Race Day:
Whether you're a seasoned runner or a first-time participant, here are some tips to ensure you're ready for the big day:
Dress Appropriately: Comfort is key! Wear light, breathable clothing and comfortable shoes suited for running.
Rest Well: A good night's sleep is essential to perform your best.
Stay Hydrated: With the Georgia sun overhead, drinking plenty of water before and during the event will keep you cool and help prevent cramps.
Bring Friends and Family: Everything is more fun with support! Encourage your loved ones to join or cheer you on.

Everyone is welcome to join! Here's how you can participate:
- 5K Run: The main event kicks off at 8:00 am.
- 1 Mile "Calf Run": Starts at 9:00 am, perfect for those who prefer a shorter distance.
- Nugget Roll: Free participation for toddlers aged 2-4.
- Ghost Runners: Can't make it? You can still support and receive a race shirt.
