Golden Ticket Cash Grab Fundraiser Rules

Event Overview: This Golden Ticket Cash Grab Fundraiser is organized to raise funds for the students and staff of the Cherokee County School District. Proceeds from the event will be used to provide grants for schools, grants for teachers and other staff, grants for students for academic and after-school/extra-curricular programs, and provide support for specific Cherokee County School District initiatives.
Eligibility:
- This event is open to ages eighteen (18) or older.
- Participants must agree to abide by the rules and regulations outlined herein.
Participation and Tickets:
- To participate in the Golden Ticket Cash Grab event, individuals must purchase a ticket.
- Tickets can be purchased for $100 each from the CCEF Gala Attendee landing page, from the qr code on your program.
- There is no limit to the number of tickets that may be purchased by an individual.
- Only 400 tickets will be sold.
- Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable once purchased.
- Only one winner will be drawn and allowed to enter the Golden Ticket Cash Grab Machine.
- The drawn winner must be present in the ballroom of the event space at the time of the drawing or able to make it to the ballroom within two (2) minutes.
- All guests and attendees who purchase a ticket to participate in the Golden Ticket Cash Grab event are eligible to win the contest including but not limited to employees of any event sponsor, employees of the Cherokee County School District, and employees or Board Members of the Cherokee County Educational Foundation.
Money Machine Rules:
1. Entry: The Golden Ticket Cash Grab will be available for use by one eligible participant on March 8, 2025 at the Celebration of Education Gala. The winner is allowed 60 seconds, 1 full minute, to grab as much money or as many prizes as possible.
2. Drawing: The Drawing will be conducted via electronic software operated by Rally Up and announced during the Celebration of Education Gala.
3. Prize Money/Prizes: The money in the Golden Ticket Cash Grab will consist of cash in denominations ranging from $5 dollar bills to $100 dollar bills.
4. Limits on Winning: The total prize value is capped at $10,000.
5. Conduct of Participants:
- Only one person is allowed inside the Golden Ticket Cash Grab Machine.
- The drawn winner may select one representative to enter the Golden Ticket Cash Grab Machin on their behalf.
- The drawn winner (or representative) must follow all instructions provided by event staff to ensure safety and proper operation of the Golden Ticket Cash Grab Machine including but not limited to:
- The drawn winner (or representative) must enter the Golden Ticket Cash Grab Machine empty-handed (no bags, gloves, or extra pockets).
- The machine door must remain closed during play.
- The drawn winner (or representative) may be required to wear protective eyewear for safety.
- The drawn winner (or representative) may not make any aggressive movements that could damage the Golden Ticket Cash Grab Machine or cause injury to the event staff. If the drawn winner (or representative) (or representative) will be held liable for any and all repairs and be immediately disqualified.
- Any violation of the rules, including disruptive behavior or attempting to manipulate the game, will result in immediate disqualification from the event with no refund.
- The even organizers reserve the right to deny entry or remove participants for safety concerns or misconduct.
Winnings:
- Only cash securely held in the drawn winner’s (or representative’s) hands or secured on their person and under their control when the timer ends will be counted. Cash that falls to the floor or remains inside the machine after the timer has stopped will not be counted toward winnings.
- Mauldin and Jenkins Accounting Firm will count the cash securely held by the winner (or representative) and verify the total amount of winnings before payout occurs.
- Mauldin and Jenkins Accounting Firm will verify the winnings by calculating the funds remaining in the Golden Ticket Grab Machine against the payoff total.
- Results of the drawing will be certified by Aleisa Howell, Partner of Mauldin and Jenkins Accounting Firm.
- Winnings will be paid out immediately after verification to the draw winner.
- The drawn winner will be issued an Internal Revenue Service Form 1099 by Cherokee County Educational Foundation
Additional Terms and Conditions:
- By purchasing a ticket, participants agree to the Golden Ticket Cash Grab Fundraiser Rules an accept the risk of participation.
- Winnings become the responsibility of the recipient as soon as result are verified.
- The event organizers are not responsible for lost or stolen winnings.
Use of Funds:
- Proceeds from the Golden Ticket Cash Grab Machine will directly support the students and staff of the Cherokee County School District.
- A portion of the funds raised will go toward covering event costs, including equipment and any related fees.
Liability and Insurance:
- The Cherokee County Educational Foundation is not responsible for any accidents or injuries that may occur during participation. All participants agree to release the Cherokee County Educational Foundation from any liability before entering the Golden Ticket Cash Grab Machine.
- Liability insurance for the event will be maintained.
Compliance with Local and State Laws:
- This fundraiser is in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, including those related to charitable solicitation and fundraising.
- If applicable, a raffle or gambling license has been obtained from the appropriate authority.
Tax Deductibility:
- Donations made for participation in this fundraiser may be tax-deductible. Please consult a tax advisor for specific details regarding your donation.
Refunds and Cancellations:
- All donations are non-refundable. If the event is canceled for any reason, participants will be notified, and an alternative fundraising activity may be scheduled.
Changes to Rules:
- Cherokee County Educational Foundation reserves the right to modify or change these rules at any time. Any changes will be posted in advance, and all participants will be informed.
Dispute Resolution:
- Any disputes or concerns regarding the event will be handled by the representative of Mauldin and Jenkins and resolved in a fair and equitable manner.
Acknowledgments:
By participating in the Golden Ticket Cash Grab Fundraiser, participants agree to these rules and the event's terms and conditions. The Cherokee County Educational Founds thanks you for your support in raising funds.
